Voting Question: iPhone 3G Question?

As I’ve heard, the old iPhones cost about $20 a month, while the 3Gs will cost around $86 a month. Will this price drop in months to come? Will it make any difference if I buy the iPhone 3G the day it comes out or in a few months?
