    Yes, everything works fine. I even upgraded to 3.0 and jailbroke it. Everything operates perfectly. Success!!

    Yes you can. I had my iPhone 3G running 2.2.1 with a gophone sim card. Just upgrade to 3.0 and leave your sim card in it. After the process is completed, it should say activating your iPhone. Just let it do its thing and after a minute, it should would fine.

    This is what I was planning to do for the past five months. I finally ordered a 16gb white iPhone 3g from eBay. Today, I’m going over to CVS and picking up an AT&T GoPhone. I will then activate the GoPhone SIM and put it in my iPhone 3G and everything will work properly. Correct me if I’m wrong.
