   HTML5 isn’t the only issue I mentioned. I was just making a point for why I want to wait until the second generation to get it. Even if HTML5 doesn’t get very far, I could still do other stuff on the iPad and, like I said, the apps for iPad will have more variety. Maybe I won’t even get it because iPhone OS 4 is coming out this summer and it has some features that the iPad had on it. Even if HTML5 doesn’t spread, I can just use a macbook for flash stuff.

   HTML5 won’t be anywhere near industry standard for another 6-8 (most say 10) years. It’s not going to replace Flash, either. The only reason folks get so worked up about it is because other people have glamorized the dedicated video and audio HTML tags, which can encompass a myriad of different codecs and formats, including Flash. Every major source has concluded that HTML5 will be a delivery system, not a replacement.

   Apple needs to focus on giving consumers a versatile product.

   I believe all the negative people should focus on the future, not the present. I personally want to wait until the second generation comes out. By that time, this new HTML 5 thing will have grown a little bit along with the variety of the apps for iPad. Hopefully the camera will be included and possibly maybe even an iMovie app too with youtube sharing and ability to put on your computer. (I mean, heck, they already got iWork on the iPad.)

    I can see it now. The next version of the ipad will have twice the storage, twice the ram and a camera. Basically all of the **** they should’ve put on this one. It still looks awesome, but I just can’t stand how they **** you on the release of their products. I bet you anything they’re already working on the third version of the ipad.

    ipad is an over size itouch with no harddrive no mobile use cant use Adobe flash and no camera but that doesnt matter much

    I think the Camera is not so important but it has no Flash and thats the biggest problem at first.
